Goals and Objectives
In 2016, I was alarmed by what was occurring in the United States due to increasing Islamophobic rhetoric, racism, rising hate crimes, lack of empathy and dismissive concern for the human condition. It was affecting our children, neighbors and communities. I decided I had to do more by helping my community develop a changed mindset. To this end, I evolved into a community servant, change maker and social justice advocate.
This is a global issue and not unique to America alone. Muslims, Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), and other marginalized groups experience an increasing number of bias and hate related incidents.
Reduce discrimination, Islamophobia, racism and hate crimes by supporting communities with knowledge, capabilities and local champions to foster culture of inclusion.
Develop educational training that communities can leverage to engage and sustain diversity, equity and inclusion.
Develop and sustain environment where people have better understanding of Islam and system racism.
Foster community mentorship opportunities for individuals from underrepresented communities.
Empowering communities to create targeted pipelines for underrepresented - Muslim, Black, Brown, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) - communities to obtain good employment and educational opportunities.
